Key Responsibilities :

Patient Care :

  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring comfort.
  • Position patients correctly to obtain optimal images while minimizing exposure to radiation.
  • Monitor patients during procedures to ensure their safety and well-being.

Imaging Procedures :

  • Operate radiographic equipment to capture high-quality images.
  • Adjust imaging techniques based on patient size, condition, and specific examination requirements.
  • Conduct specialized imaging procedures as required (e.g., fluoroscopy, CT scans).

Quality Assurance :

  • Review images for quality and completeness before sending them to radiologists.
  • Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment according to safety and operational standards.
  • Participate in quality control and improvement initiatives.

Record Keeping :

  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and protocols.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret images and provide insights.

Education and Training :

  • Stay updated on advancements in radiology technology and practices.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new staff or students in the department.
