Job Title : Part-Time Phlebotomist (Oncology)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist with experience in blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, and updating patient information.

The ideal candidate will collect and store specimens according to established procedures, clearly and courteously explain the process of venipuncture and other specimen collections, demonstrate techniques using straight needles and / or butterfly needles, and fully understand all physicians' orders.

Responsibilities also include matching laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes, labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing specimens as required by test orders, checking all test requisitions or computer labels against scripts to ensure 100% accuracy, packaging specimens for transport, and storing specimen samples according to required temperatures.

Hard Skills

• 1+ years of experience in phlebotomy with hard sticks or oncology
• Able to process samples without training or assistance
• Experience with various patient demographics

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position.
