job_description.job_card.job_descriptionDiagnose complex medical problems by obtaining a patient's history Perform physical exam Counsel patients on gastrointestinal disorders Order appropriate diagnostic imaging and lab testing and interpret the results of studies Discuss test results, diagnosis, treatment plan and prognosis with patients Prescribe and / or administer treatment and medication Perform endoscopic procedures, including diagnostic and screening endoscopies and colonoscopies as indicated Handle other duties, as needed Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology with the American Board of Internal Medicine or equivalent Completion of specialty training in an ACGME or equivalent Gl fellowship program Current New York State Medical Practitioner License Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration Training in ERCP and / or Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship
A healthcare system in Westchester County is actively seeking a licensed Gastroenterologist to join their growing staff. In this role, the Gastroenterologist will provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient gastrointestinal care.
About the Opportunity :
- Schedule : Monday through Friday
- Hours : 9am to 5pm
- Setting : Inpatient & Outpatient
- Call : 1 : 7
