Day-to-day responsibilities include :
Assisting the resident Physical Therapist in all aspects of member therapy and care plan needsProviding interventions based on specific needs, including therapeutic exercise, gait training, ambulation and other physical assistanceMonitoring and documenting treatments and interventions, ensuring all members of interdisciplinary teams have access to this vital informationUpdating Plans of Care based on progress and evolving needsIdentifying areas for individual and group improvements and enhancements, and implementing new procedures and processes under the supervision of the Physical TherapistDeveloping group exercise programs for maintenance therapy membersAiding in in-home treatment programs, including goal setting and exercise, plus family and caregiver educationAssessing progress and determining comprehensive courses of action to improve outcomes or maintain successAdditional responsibilities as neededQualifications
Candidates must be licensed Physical Therapy Assistants in Pennsylvania, and be committed to the coursework / workshops required to maintain licensing. Additionally, candidates should have at least one year's experience working in a PTA role. A valid Pennsylvania driver's license is also required to be considered for this position.
