Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an X-Ray Technologist with orthopedic experience and proficiency in Epic for a fast-paced outpatient setting.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in an adult outpatient orthopedic setting
  • Perform X-ray imaging on a variety of orthopedic anatomical regions including ankle, foot, knee, spine, shoulder, and hand
  • Schedule includes Monday through Friday, 7 : 30 a.m. to 8 : 00 p.m. with shifts varying between 4, 8, 10, and 12 hours as scheduled by the department
  • Possible Saturday shift from 9 : 00 a.m. to 1 : 00 p.m.
  • Floating required to all other orthopedic locations
  • Charting is performed using Epic EMR
  • Main responsibilities include performing X-rays for various orthopedic cases while adhering to infection prevention and isolation precautions
  • Must be flexible to float between multiple locations as needed
  • Some Saturday coverage may be required based on departmental needs
  • Return staff must have a minimum 1 year gap between assignments
  • Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible
  • A maximum of 5 days of requested time off is allowed for a 13-week contract
  • Modules and orientation are completed prior to start, with some paid preparation time
  • First-time travelers will be considered
  • Orthopedic experience is preferred

  • Valid ARRT (R) certification and BLS required
  • Minimum of 1 year of X-ray technologist experience, specifically in orthopedics
  • Active NY state radiology license required
  • Prior experience with Epic EMR is mandatory
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication, adaptability, and punctuality
