Security Professional - Transit Center Unarmed Patrol

As a Security Professional - Transit Center Unarmed Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more.

As an Allied Universal unarmed patrol officer in a transportation setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible throughout your shift. You will engage with the public, offer outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly to support a welcoming environment. With a focus on reliability, integrity, and teamwork, you will play a key role in creating a secure environment for everyone at the location. Pay Rate : $18.02 / hour

Job Schedule : Day Time :

Monday 06 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Tuesday 06 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Wednesday 06 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Thursday 06 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the transportation location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure environment.
  • Monitor access points and report any unusual or suspicious activities encountered during patrols.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal management and site contacts to relay important information and maintain open communication regarding security-related matters.
  • Complete required reports and documentation related to daily activities, incidents, and observations while on duty.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
