Role :
We are seeking a dedicated Plant Operations Director to join our team! The Plant Operations Director is responsible for ensuring the retirement community is safe and well-maintained for the residents, employees, visitors, and the public.
The Plant Operations Director is responsible for all areas of building maintenance, housekeeping, laundry, and environmental services.
This role is additionally responsible for local, state, and federal code compliance as well as life-safety requirements.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain, repair, and service all facility equipment and furnishings as required
- Follow safety policies and infection control guidelines, assuring resident safety and compliance with all federal and state regulations
- Follow and understand the Company’s Emergency Preparedness plans
- Observe residents' rights including, but not limited to, privacy, dignity, etc.
- Promote positive public relations with residents, family members, and guests
- Assist with transportation of residents as requested
- Provide training to all staff in areas of Life Safety, Emergency Preparedness, OSHA, etc.
- Maintain cost records and meet budgeted guidelines
- Manage, train, and schedule the Plant Operations team
- Direct vendors and regulatory inspectors to meet code requirements
- Develop and lead the campus safety committee
- Position requires 24 / 7 on-call status
Qualifications :
- Experience in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and carpentry skills and the ability to read / understand technical / operations manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Experience in a long-term care environment is preferred. Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record for the past two years.
- Knowledge of Life Safety and OSHA regulations required.
- Ability to multi-task during stressful situations while maintaining positive composure.
- Must be proficient in computer-based programs such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.
