Job Overview :

The Director of Sales (Public Sector) plays a pivotal role in the continued growth of our sales organization. This position is focused on expanding existing client relationships and uncovering new accounts through proactive business development within the Public Sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team responsible for engaging existing assigned accounts and reaching out to new accounts.
  • Focus on selling professional photo, video, audio, lighting, forensics, surveillance, and security technology solutions to the Public Sector market, including State & Local Government, Municipalities, Public Safety Agencies (Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS), and Public Utility Agencies.
  • Set up and manage the territory, leading a team of representatives to exceed their revenue and profit targets.
  • Inspire, engage, and enable the team; provide coaching on best practices, review and assess performance, support professional development, and optimize contribution to the region / department.
  • Actively support the team in client activities and deal negotiations, demonstrating expertise in strategic deal-making.
  • Utilize sales enablement tools effectively to facilitate team success.
  • Oversee sales activities and transactions, ensuring team goals are met and potential issues are identified and addressed.
  • Ensure sales objectives align with corporate strategies and policy frameworks; foster productive partnerships with other departments.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience leading top-flight sales teams, transforming raw talent into top-performing sales representatives.
  • 3-7 years of sales leadership experience, ideally within the SLED, Public Sector arena.
  • Proven track record of leading a team of at least 6 sales representatives and managing a territory for a minimum of 3 years, achieving success against regional sales targets.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a focus on fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
  • Experience in building robust internal and external relationships.

The salary rate for this position ranges from $120,000 to $160,000. The rate will be determined based on overall skills and experience.

This role is also eligible for a commission based off sales and business.
