Your timing could not be better. We are currently hiring to fill a key Janitor position at our Indianapolis, IN, location.
Education : High school degree or equivalent
Experience : Fast and accurate cleaning techniques. Strong attention to cleanliness and details of position.
Job Scope : To provide professional janitorial service to entire facility. Responsible for the cleanliness and orderliness of entire operation relative to overall appearance.
Reports to : Warehouse Supervisor
Key elements include but are not limited to :
- Sanitizes restrooms, daily or more often as needed (toilets, basins, floor, etc)
- Sanitizes, mop, organizes cafeteria daily, or more often as needed (floor, counter, microwaves).
- Cleans refrigerator once a week.
- Keep inventory of cleaning and cafeteria supplies, notify supervisor when running short on inventory.
- Vacuum office and reception areas, follow daily schedule.
- Sweep and dust all areas, follow daily schedule
- Makes sure that all areas have necessary supplies.
- Informs the supervisor of work status, suggestions and, any concerns.
- Communicates well with peers, superiors, as well as others in the company.
- Minimizes waste of any resource and rework.
- Keeps the department neat, clean and organized at all times.
- Train new employee as needed.
- Assists other departments as needed.
- Follows company policies and safety procedures.
- Promotes camaraderie among peers.
- Perform daily tasks with considerations of waste minimization, and other environmental considerations
- Adhere to the environmental policy and be aware of significant environmental impacts related to job
- Support the Environmental Management System (EMS) implementation as directed by the supervisor
- Inform the supervisor regarding any accidents or nonconformities that may affect the environment and, if possible, report any environmental nonconformity using the CAPA system
- Provide suggestions for improving the EMS to the supervisor, management or by using the suggestion box
- Other tasks and special projects as required.
