Primary Duties and

Responsibilities :

Position purpose : Adjunct faculty will support the Legal Studies Program by teaching / developing relevant courses including skills courses (legal writing, trial procedure, appellate advocacy) and doctrinal courses.

Job functions :

  • Teach up to 9 credit hours per semester.
  • Create syllabus and timeline of classes, for students per semester.
  • Provide meeting time for students.
  • Manage online grading system.
  • Submit book orders, if textbooks required.
  • Abide by all relevant university and / or departmental procedures and policies.

  • Ability to successfully interact with students, other educators and educational institution representatives, and the general public in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of the programs and services offered by Belmont University.
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies.
  • Required Education JD Preferred

    Required Experience Prior teaching experience preferred (higher education or CLE).

    The selected candidate will be required to complete a background check satisfactory to the University.
