About The Position

Pioneer Healthcare Services is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for a skilled nursing facility in Bakersfield, CA for a 13-week contract with the possibility to extend.

The ideal SNF SLP will have a minimum of 1 year experience in the geriatric population. New grads are encouraged to apply.

This can be a travel or a local assignment.

Responsibilities of a Skilled Nursing Facility Speech Language Pathologist : One 1 year experience in Speech-Language Pathology in a hospital or rehabilitation setting preferred, new grads are encouraged to apply Provide short-term rehabilitation, geared toward a functional return home Deliver restorative therapy to improve the quality of life of the long-term residents in the facility Interact with families and nursing staff on patientsafter-care programs Capability to work independently and manage time effectively Successful completion of competency and proficiency skills evaluation specific to the requirements of the position upon hire Provide recommendations to the Director of Rehab and other team members 13-week assignment Documentation is completed in a timely, complete, legible, concise and accurate manner New grads and experienced therapists are encouraged to apply - We will support you through this transition"
