Job Title : Ultrasound Technologist, Reg, 2-5 yrs - Contract
Schedule Notes : 9am-5pm; female for pelvic exams
Job Summary :
The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing or assisting in ultrasound examinations, providing technical support to the Radiologist, and maintaining all ultrasound equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Prepares and examines patients for ultrasound procedures following established protocols and techniques.
- Operates, adjusts, and maintains ultrasound equipment, ensuring necessary safety precautions to protect patients and personnel.
- Sets up, operates, cleans, and performs minor adjustments on ultrasound equipment.
- Ensures necessary supplies are available for procedures.
- Assists with the orientation and mentorship of new Ultrasound staff.
- Captures and transfers images to PACS and physician workstations.
- Answers phones, schedules exams, and may assist with patient transportation.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Skills :
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
- 2+ years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong knowledge of office and administrative practices.
- Skilled in using personal computers and related software.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion.
Education : Graduate of a two-year ultrasound program, including clinical and didactic education.
Certifications : ARDMS Certification
