Vidorra Cocina de Mexico’ celebrates Mexican food, drink and culture Meaning the good life, the restaurant offers bold and exciting Mexican flavors, along with a large tequila selection, unique cocktail program, and lively social experience.

Milkshake Concepts is a Dallas based experiential hospitality group redefining the industry with our 10 restaurant brands and 3 nightlife concepts.

Our brands include Stirr, Vidorra, Citizen, Serious Pizza, Dirty Bones, Harper’s, and Layer Cake. We are constantly pushing the envelope on what is popular and expected and are currently expanding beyond Dallas to markets across the country.

We are looking for an experienced Sales & Event Manager to join our team as we grow!

You will ensure events are successful while also overseeing community outreach to drive new clientele and corporate business.

An event manager is, above all, a project manager who understands marketing and promotion techniques. We want to see enthusiastic candidates with fresh ideas and the organizational skills required to leave nothing to chance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead promotional activities for each store
  • Building lasting professional relationships with current and prospective clients
  • Market research in surrounding areas for business targets
  • Organize comped happy hours / food drops
  • Plan event from start to finish according to guest needs, while ensuring events run smoothly and do not interfere with standard diner experiences.
  • Come up with suggestions to enhance the event and drive larger sales through menu and drink proposals.
  • Prepare budgets and ensure adherence
  • Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers
  • Supervise all staff (servers, bartenders, kitchen BOH, etc)
  • Communicate all needs to management and ensure that each event is staffed appropriately.
  • Send weekly sale recaps to Director of Sales & executive leadership
  • Execute / Oversee events
  • Available to work weekends & holidays

Skills

  • Proven experience as event manager
  • Skilled in project management
  • Knowledge of marketing techniques for driving new business (both organic & private dining)
  • Computer savvy; proficient in MS Office, Tripleseat, Reservation Software
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation ability
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • A knack for problem-solving
  • Multi-tasking
  • Customer-service orientation
  • A team player with leadership skills
  • BSc / BA in PR, marketing, hospitality management or related field is preferred
  • Must be comfortable with community outreach and building relationships.
