Certified Medical Assistant - Cardiology Methodist Plaza (Rooming / Clinical Support)

Shift : Monday to Friday, 7 : 30am-4 : 00pm
$5,000.00 Sign-on Bonus for external candidates.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our dedicated cardiology team. As a CMA in our cardiology clinic, you will play a crucial role in supporting our healthcare providers by ensuring efficient and high-quality patient care.
Rooming Patients :
- Greet and prepare patients for their appointments.
- Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, weight, etc.).
- Accurately document patient history, medications, and any concerns or symptoms in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Clinical Support :
- Assist cardiologists and other providers as needed.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and ready for use.
Patient Communication :
- Educate patients on procedures, medications, and follow-up care.
- Communicate test results and instructions to patients as directed by the provider.
- Handle patient inquiries via phone and secure messaging.
Administrative Duties :
- Schedule appointments, follow-ups, and referrals to other specialists as needed.
- Maintain accurate and organized patient records.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant, current certification.
- Prior work experience in Cardiology or other specialty clinic preferred, but not required.
- BLS and Mandatory Reporter certification.
