Residential HVAC Installer

Pilot Mechanical Heating & Cooling — Rochester Hills, MI

Serving Southeast Michigan

Position Summary

We’re looking for a skilled Residential HVAC Installer to join our team. You’ll install heating and cooling systems for new construction and residential projects, delivering quality work and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Install, replace, and retrofit furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, ductwork, and thermostats.

Read and interpret blueprints, job specs, and mechanical codes.

Perform start-up procedures, refrigerant charging, airflow balancing, and system testing.

Maintain high standards for workmanship, job site cleanliness, and safety.

Communicate clearly with customers, builders, and team members.

Coordinate with project managers to ensure timely installations.

Qualifications

2+ years installing residential HVAC systems, preferably with new construction experience.

EPA 608 Universal Certification required.

Michigan Mechanical License or progress toward licensure preferred.

Ability to fabricate ductwork, braze copper lines, and use digital tools.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Able to lift 75 lbs, work in confined spaces, and tolerate Michigan weather.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
