Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU float position in Michigan requiring 2 years of ICU or stepdown experience and BLS / ACLS certifications.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital ICU and float between ICU and stepdown units as needed
  • Assignment involves floating to different departments, with possible changes every 4 hours
  • Night shift schedule from 7 : 00 pm to 7 : 30 am, three 12-hour shifts per week
  • Schedules are set in 6-week blocks
  • Floating may include shifts at a nearby sister hospital
  • Responsible for providing leadership and delivering patient care using the nursing process
  • Effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams is essential
  • Must complete online modules onsite and achieve a passing score prior to the start date
  • COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory
  • No blocked scheduling is permitted
  • Internal background check and drug screening processes may take up to two weeks to clear

  • Active MI RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU or stepdown nursing experience
  • Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Basic dysrhythmia testing competency is required
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program required
