Opened in 1961, CMC has evolved into the state's newest teaching hospital with four residency programs and Ocean County's largest and most active health care facility—caring for over 21,500 inpatients, 178,000 outpatients and 73,700 emergency department patients each year.\n\nQualifications : \n\nRequired : \n

  • BSN required\n
  • Five years hospital experience\n
  • Two years teaching related activities\n
  • Registered Nurse with current license required\n
  • AHA BLS required\n
  • Preferred : \n
  • MSN preferred\n
  • Certified in professional development or sub-specialty preferred\n\nScheduling Requirements : \n
  • Night Shift\n\nEssential Functions : \n
  • Demonstrates an ability to express self effectively in all areas of communication verbal, non-verbal, written; utilizes effective listening and questioning techniques along with appropriate communication methods,\n
  • Develops continuing education programs to meet the needs of Community Medical Center employees,\n
  • Disseminates information to hospital departments and the community related to education / training programs offered by Community Medical Center,\n
  • Evaluates all continuing education / training programs; adapts programs as necessary as a result of feedback; utilizes accepted evaluation of all educational programs,\n
  • Evaluates effective teaching skills through appropriate instruction methodologies; communicates principles of adult education and applies adult learning theory when conducting programs,\n
  • Insures the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs to meet JCAHO recommendation and State Health Department requirements on an annual basis,\n
  • Regularly encourages personnel to grow professionally by pursuing educational opportunities both inside and outside the institution,\n
