About NWFEM

Northwest Facilities & Equipment Maintenance (NWFEM) provides commercial equipment and facilities maintenance and repair for quick serve restaurants and commercial businesses in the Portland, OR and Seattle, WA metropolitan areas.

We have a project team that handles the coordination of larger projects, and we also have an internal team of technicians that do the majority of our work.

We have day crews and night crews in order to support the needs of our customers. We work with customers such as Starbucks, Chipotle, Skyzone, Black Rock Coffee, Red Robin, and many others.

Our customers rely on us to be their go to vendor to support resolution of issues at their facilities. Whether it's a sink that's falling off the wall, an area of tile that the grout has worn away, or a front of house that needs renovated. We are there to help.

Job Summary

We are looking for experienced tradesmen to join our night crew as a Facilities Service Technician. An FST is a Handyman who is responsible for completing work task requests from our customers that are related to their facilities.

An ideal candidate has years of blended trade skills creating a well rounded skill set able to handle work task requests for the following skills : Drywall, mudding, painting, flooring, tile installation / repair, light electrical, fixture installation, replacing switches / outlets, light plumbing, sink installation, toilet installation / repair, casework, countertops, solid surface, woodworking, cabinets, finish carpentry, and other general handyman skills.

We are looking for someone who has a calm temperament, adept in troubleshooting new challenges, positive attitude, excellent communicator, and high level of professionalism.

You will receive a nightly route, check out a vehicle for your shift, enter our customer facilities, turn off their alarm, complete your work task including accurate data entry with before / after photos and completion notes.

We always are expected to leave our customers spaces better than we found it. If you enjoy less traffic, love to put your headphones on while performing your trade skills, and a lot of independence in your role, this could be a great fit.

Available Shifts

• Night Shift : Tuesday - Friday
• 4 days on shift
• 3 days off
• 10 hour shifts
• 7 PM - 5 AM

Basic Qualifications

• 4+ years of Handywork / Renovation experience
• Drywall, mudding, painting, flooring, tile installation / repair, light electrical, fixture installation, replacing switches / outlets, light plumbing, sink installation, toilet installation / repair, casework, countertops, solid surface, woodworking, cabinets, finish carpentry, etc.
• Easily able to work with iOS iPhone based work task and timecard software
• Maintain workplace safety and cleanliness
• Possess a strong, clean driving record, be insurable.

• Possess a thorough understanding of tools, safety equipment, and their proper uses.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and pass driver's background check.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Our Facilities Service Technicians are capable of repair, maintenance, and renovation from floor to ceiling in a commercial restaurant environment.
• Deliver, install, or retrieve equipment / furniture as needed.
• Provide exceptional building maintenance and repair, in various restaurants and retail facilities throughout the greater Seattle Metro area.
• Assess jobs, provide estimates to management, and procure materials for work to be done by other team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Become well rounded in commercial retail and maintenance, commercial construction, and grow professionally

Salary will be dependent upon experience and skills. NWFEM offers comprehensive medical and dental insurance coverage following 60 days (about 2 months) of employment.
