About The Position

Job Title : Cath Lab RN

Experience : Minimum of 2 years in a relevant service line required

License : Texas RN License or Compact

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Must-Have :

Experience with MedHost and GE MacLab

Travel experience strongly preferred

On-call required

Must live more than 150 miles away from facility or reside in a metropolitan area

Description :

The position involves working in a Cardiac Cath Lab.

Shifts typically run from approximately 6 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM, with possible variations.

Experience with various cardiac procedures is essential.

Candidates should be familiar with activated clotting time, angioplasty, antiarrhythmics, and antihypertensives.

Cardiac stent placement, cardioversion, and carotid angiography skills are expected.

The role includes circulating and monitoring procedures, including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations.

Strong skills in interpreting and managing dysrhythmias are necessary.

Experience with IV vasopressors, procedural sedation administration, and monitoring is critical.

Knowledge of radiation and laser safety practices is required.

Familiarity with various cardiac devices, including pacemakers and stents, is essential.

Ideal candidates will have experience with adult and geriatric patient populations.

Additional support from interdisciplinary teams within the unit is available.

A focus on infection prevention and patient safety is essential.

The candidate should be adaptable to working in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating census levels.

Special equipment experience is preferable, including familiarity with specific technologies and systems used in the Cath Lab.
