Area Four , trendy wood-fired restaurant and café offering gourmet pizzas, a wide selection of craft beer, house made pastries, desserts, and local roasted coffee, is currently looking for a full time baker to join there team for there busy café in Kendall Square.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and hospitality. They must be detail-oriented, and professional. They must want to grow in this industry and have a passion for baking.
They work hard, lead by example, and has a drive for uplifting and motivating their team. This position is incredibly hands-on and fast paced.
Must be able to work as a team and independently.
Area Four makes everything in house from croissants, bagels, focaccia, English muffins and cookies. We strive for excellence in what we do.
And have a real passion for it.
6AM-2PM Tuesday-Saturday Schedule
Baker / Pastry cook Responsibilities includes
- Daily baking productions of dough’s (croissant, bagel, English Muffin), cookies, batters / quick breads, dessert bars etc for the restaurant and café assisting with putting away vendor orders
- helping maintain a clean and orderly kitchen
- Assisting in the morning bake off.
Baker / Pastry cook Qualifications
- Must have at least 2 years experience in baking and pastry / Culinary in a Bakery Café or Restaurant setting and / or have graduated from culinary school.
- Must be able to lift 50#
- Must be able to be on there feet for 8 hours.
- Must be able to multi task.
- Willing to pay top hourly rates to fill this position.
Expected hours : 35 40 per week
