Impact you will make

The ideal candidate will have a natural curiosity about solving problems - familiar with the complexity of healthcare datasets.

They will be critical thinkers with advanced problem solving, data mining, and data engineering skills that enables them to answer ambiguous questions in data that help leaders make great data driven decisions.

What you will do

• Develop complex and large-scale data structures and pipelines to organize, collect and standardize data to generate insights, address reporting and data science needs
• Ensure that data pipelines are observable, scalable, reliable, and secure
• Improve data quality and integrity
• Contribute to a high-performance culture, problem-solving, learning, and collaboration across data and analytics department

What you will bring

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or Applied Science
• 3+ years' experience in Data Engineering and / or Software Engineering
• 2 years' experience in big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Databricks etc.
• Strong coding skills in Python / PySpark / Scala / Java or equivalent
• Proficient in SQL and data analysis
• Proficient in Linux and Bash shell scripting
• Experience in agile software development lifecycle and DevOps
• Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, problem-solving and analytical skills

What we would like to see

• Hands-on work in on-prem to cloud migration, preferably in Azure
• Azure experience as it pertains to PaaS (Platform as a Service) offerings (Synapse, ADLS, DataBricks, Event Hubs, CosmosDB, Azure ML, etc.)
• Experience in infrastructure as code and automating production data and ML pipelines
• Knowledge of data warehouses / lakes / lake houses
