Job Summary

As a Business Development Executive, you will focus on cultivating new customer business within your designated sales area. This role requires you to enhance prospects' understanding of the value Ryder provides through our comprehensive services. You will achieve this through developing strategic sales plans, assessing the profitability of potential accounts, and understanding competitive dynamics. We are looking for a passionate hunter ready to seize new opportunities!

Flexible Work Schedule Available!

Compensation :

Base Salary : $55,000 - $60,000 + Uncapped Commission Potential

Average First-Year Commission : $20,000 - $35,000

Average Second-Year Commission : $45,000 - $85,000

Essential Functions :

  • Develop pre-sales strategy for target accounts and maintain a robust sales pipeline to exceed quotas.
  • Represent the full array of Ryder services while transitioning accounts to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Assess prospect needs and thoroughly prepare value-based proposals.
  • Engage with GMs & CDMs to ensure clarity on sales progress and account impact.
  • Conduct reporting of sales activities and ensure compliance with sales protocols.
  • Edit and enhance sales skills and industry knowledge continuously.
  • Additional Responsibilities :

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Skills Required :

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to build and maintain relationships at all organizational levels.
  • High degree of initiative and self-motivation.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in teams.
  • Flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with effective time management.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to follow-up and closure.
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable sales success.
  • Strong understanding of Ryder’s offerings and ability to convey this to potential customers.
  • Competence in interpreting financial data.
