What You WillDo
The Director of Category Management& Sales Planning will bring excellent Category leadershipinsights and analytics support to external and internalstakeholders.
You will work across national large and small formatretail distribution with a major focus on leading in developinginsights identifying opportunities and communicatingrecommendations to lead and increase company stature with retailpartners.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement category strategies todrive sales growth and increase market share
- Develop and implement factbased selling stories businessreviews and any other data / insight needs for all customer andbroker partner meetings
- Analyze market trendsand consumer insights to develop product assortment and pricingstrategies
- Optimize merchandising andpromotional plans to maximize sales and profitability
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors inorder to maximize our insights and investments
- Collaborate with sales marketing and production teams toexecute category management and sales planning
- Monitor and report on category performance to seniormanagement sales and marketing teams
- Ensurecompliance with all applicable regulations and companypolicies
Who You Are
You are a doer and have a strategic perspective takingpride in and ownership of your work you are detailorientedextremely analytical are not afraid to have a voice in theorganization and are always pushing to reach higher and accomplishmore.
You have a strong enthusiasm for translating data intoactionable insights that are easily understood by other teammembers and the ability to craft compelling presentationsaccordingly.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in BusinessAdministration Marketing or a related field
- 5years’ experience in CPG bonus if within chocolateconfections candy etc.
- Minimum 3years’ experience in category management
- Proven track record of driving profitable growth andincreasing market share
- Exceptional analyticalskills and ability to interpret complex data from multiple sourcesincluding syndicated data and retail portal platforms
- Must be extremely proficient with pulling data from SPINSNielsen IRI / Circana (bonus if you have experience with NumeratorBedrock MODUS)
- Experience working with TradePlanning forecasting and trade spend software / tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skillscomfortable speaking with Executive Board and meeting / speaking withcustomers
- Strong leadership and peoplemanagement skills
- Must be able to thrive in anambiguous environment work independently be resourceful and managemultiple priorities
- Ability to travel fortrade shows sales calls and customer meetings / reviews
- Experience in a startup environment ideal but notrequired
