General Manager

The General Manager is responsible for managing the overall operations of a Qdoba restaurant. The General Manager leads daily management decisions and supports broader Brand initiatives. The General Manager focuses on developing a people and guest-centric culture that consistently delivers excellent guest service and food quality while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Key duties / responsibilities :

  • Maintain fast, accurate service, and provide an excellent customer experience. Respond to guest questions, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner to ensure positive resolution and guest recovery.
  • Train, develop, coach, and evaluate employee performance. Ensure systems for training employees are fully implemented and followed.
  • Maximize store sales goals versus budget and participate in marketing programs.
  • Oversee catering sales and drive new catering business.
  • Train, monitor, and reinforce food safety procedures.
  • Effectively manage food and labor costs and inventory levels.
  • Anticipate and identify problems and initiate appropriate corrective action.
  • Ensure continual improvement of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.
  • Manage employees in a manner that encourages them to grow with the company and reduce turnover.
  • Identify and develop internal candidates for management and Shift Lead positions.
  • Execute company policies and procedures and ensure compliance with all state and federal labor laws and regulations.
  • Manage and maintain safe working conditions.
  • Work with the leadership team to meet broader organizational goals.

Qualifications :

Education : High school diploma or equivalent education required. Age requirements may apply in order to remain in compliance with State and Federal laws.

Experience : 5+ years QSR experience with 2+ years in a leadership position preferred.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities : Excellent prioritization, interpersonal, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Highly motivated and organized. Demonstrates integrity and ethical behavior. Can take direction from individuals in higher-level positions. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with proven ability to recruit, hire, coach, train and motivate employees. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements : Ability to lift equipment and cases of product weighing approximately 10-50 lbs. Must be able to speak and hear clearly on the telephone and in person. Must be able to operate a computer, desktop, tablet, etc.

Pay Range : $62,000 - $72,000 annually (salaried)
