As a Materials Specialist, you will manage the procurement, storage, distribution, and inventory control of materials to meet organizational needs. This position is available on our first shift. (7 am-3 : 30 pm).
What You’ll Do :
- IFS Implementation set up and ownership for the Durant Facility
- Meticulously managing the procurement, storage, distribution, and inventory control of materials to meet organizational demands.
- Analyze material supply chains to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement
- Develop and maintain material requirement planning systems
- Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely material acquisition
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stock replenishment
- Research, determine, and suggest ways of improving systems.
- Work with production to minimize downtime caused by material shortages
- Enforce material handling protocols to avoid discrepancies or delays
- Implement best practices for inventory management / regular Audits
- Coordinate disposal of obsolete or surplus materials
- Serve as an Individual contributor while working under limited supervision.
- Oversee Materials group (short term)
- Additional duties as assigned.
