As a Materials Specialist, you will manage the procurement, storage, distribution, and inventory control of materials to meet organizational needs. This position is available on our first shift. (7 am-3 : 30 pm).

What You’ll Do :

  • IFS Implementation set up and ownership for the Durant Facility
  • Meticulously managing the procurement, storage, distribution, and inventory control of materials to meet organizational demands.
  • Analyze material supply chains to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement
  • Develop and maintain material requirement planning systems
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely material acquisition
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stock replenishment
  • Research, determine, and suggest ways of improving systems.
  • Work with production to minimize downtime caused by material shortages
  • Enforce material handling protocols to avoid discrepancies or delays
  • Implement best practices for inventory management / regular Audits
  • Coordinate disposal of obsolete or surplus materials
  • Serve as an Individual contributor while working under limited supervision.
  • Oversee Materials group (short term)
  • Additional duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring :

  • High school diploma and relevant work experience required
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Basic understanding of Lean principles and methodologies
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members
  • Good communication skills to share ideas and feedback
  • Basic to intermediate level computer skills for data entry and reporting; intermediate knowledge using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks frequently in a typical work environment
  • Proficient in the use of Inventory management systems.
  • Demonstrated good attendance record and reliability
