ProCare Therapy has teamed up with an excellent school district in Portsmouth, Virginialooking for someone to join their team as a Sign Language Interpreterfor the upcoming school year! This is a full time role, with more details to be shared during the interview.
Job Type :
- Interpret spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) or another required sign system and vice versa.
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers in various settings, including classrooms, assemblies, meetings, and extracurricular activities.
- Provide support to deaf or hard-of-hearing students to ensure they understand instructions, assignments, and educational content.
- This is a full time position, working with the high school.
- Pay - $30-40 / hr
Qualifications :
- Bachelors Degree focusing in American Sign Language preferred.
- Must have completedEIPA and / or anRID certification.
