Children with Autism have a variety of developmental, learning, physical and emotional needs. As a Mental Health Technician, you will work closely with our clinical team to achieve the following :

  • Run therapeutic and behavioral plans, and provide early intervention to increase social and self-management skills
  • Provide guidance on a range of developmental goals from communication, exercise and nutrition and academic skills to assist with school readiness
  • Support individuals with learning and maintaining personal skills such as : hygiene, grooming and / or toileting
  • Teach and model interpersonal and social skills to help individuals thrive in their communities
  • Provide assistance using strategies to properly manage and redirect agitated or aggressive behaviors

Qualifications for a Behavioral Health Technician :

  • Must be minimum of 18 years of age
  • A compassionate approach with a reliable and responsible attitude
  • An ability to connect with children with an ability to work with others to accomplish goals
  • Experience in human services preferred but not mandatory
  • Successful clearance of background checks
