High school diploma or equivalent required, AAS or BS preferred. RDCS or RCS required. AE, FE, or PE preferred Graduate of formal cardiac sonography training program required. Strong knowledge of ultrasound techniques, principles and procedures. Competence with equipment required. BLS / CPR must be obtained / maintained. Participates in orientation, continuing education and updates, and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, SKILLS OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS :Skills with imaging equipment (projectors, cine processors), digital imaging and associated QC testing equipment needed. Ability to learn biomedical electronic, radiologic imaging, computer data entry, and hemodynamic monitoring skills.WORK ENVIRONMENT AND HAZARDS :Office / Clinical setting. Exposure Class I – Routine or potential exposure to blood, body fluids, excretions or secretions. Intermittent to regular exposure to unpleasant physical conditions. Regular exposure to situations that could cause moderate to serious injury or illness. Chemical hazards-works with film processing chemicals (See Materials Safety Data Sheets). Radiation exposure when testing equipment.PHYSICAL DEMANDS :Heavy work : pushing, pulling, walking, standing and lifting.WORK CONTACT GROUP: All services, employees, medical staff, patients, visitors and vendors, various regulatory and professional agency staff. Pay Range : $38.50-56.40 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
