HR Generalist / Payroll Specialist
Responsibilities :
Enter new hire packets in the ADP system
Enter terminations and create manual
checks when needed
Create and maintain hard copy new hire
employee files
Assist managers with general write ups as
needed
Fill out workers’ compensation claims and
file with SAIF
Ensures payroll is processed with speed
and accuracy and verifies compliance with federal and state payroll
requirements; stays current with changes in the law
Processes and / or reviews all transfers of
payroll data to ADP
Process garnishments support orders
Process employee verifications
Provides final review of all Company
timecards for completeness and accuracy
Maintains employee confidence and
protects payroll operations by keeping confidential information.
Complete necessary regulatory forms for new hires and terminations;
complete other documents as needed.
Participate in special projects and other
duties as assigned by management
Qualifications :
A minimum of four years of HR and payroll
experience required
Strong analytical thinking,
problem solving, and customer communication skills
Candidates should perform well in
stressful situations
Ability to administer a large volume of
work with deadlines in a multi-task environment.
Excellent verbal and written
communication as well as listening skills
Ability to successfully complete
advanced, complex HR or payroll assignments and work independently
Educational Level :
Associate degree or higher a plus
Required Skills :
Working knowledge of ADP Workforce
system
Experience with ADP iReports
Proficiency with QuickBooks accounting software
a plus
Intermediate skill level in
Microsoft Office
