Position : Extended Care Assistant (Part-Time)
Hours : 2 : 00 PM - 6 : 00 PM, Monday through Friday
What You'll Do :
As an Extended Care Assistant, you will :
- Engage and Inspire : Create and lead exciting activities that stimulate students' creativity and curiosity.
- Support and Care : Provide a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for students to relax, play, and learn.
- Team Collaboration : Work closely with other staff members to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for all students.
- Supervise and Guide : Monitor students to ensure their safety and well-being during after-school hours.
- Build Relationships : Develop positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, fostering a sense of community and belonging.

Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.Ability to assist children with activities, including lifting and moving them as needed.as setting up and moving equipment.Ability to handle small objects and perform tasks requiring fine motor skills.Sustained physical activity throughout the shift.Ability to detect changes in children's behavior and respond appropriately.Work Environment
Work primarily in classrooms, playgrounds, and other school facilities.Interaction with children, parents, and school staff.Exposure to various weather conditions during outdoor activities.Ability to handle stressful situations and provide compassionate care.Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children and their families.Flexible scheduling, including shifts during afternoons and early evenings.Potential for additional hours during school events or special programs.
