Required Skills :

Key skills : FEMAP, composite structures, hand calc exp, hypersizer / hyperx

Baseline requirements (all candidates) :

Minimum 8 years experience onsite in Tustin, CA.

Minimum 10 years experience for remote candidates.

Strong COMPOSITES experience & knowledge required.

Preference given to those candidates with HYPERSIZER / HYPERX experience, but not required.

Must have composite primary airframe (fuselage, empennage, wing) experience.

Must have FEMAP experience.

Stress analysis of actuators and sizing of actuators.

ehicle level test experience.

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution, with a concentration in a relevant Engineering discipline

Minimum 8 years or more of applicable experience in the analysis of structural systems using strength of materials and finite element-based methods

Experience in aircraft or spacecraft composite fabrication, design, and analysis processes

Knowledge of composites manufacturing and sizing of composite structures using FEA models, including pre and post processing of NASTRAN models and associated sizing of composite structures.

Proficiency in FEMAP.

Stress analysis of actuators and sizing of actuators.

ehicle level test experience.

Experience with free-body diagrams and classical stress analysis techniques. Hand calc exp. Hypersisor / Hyperx exp.

Hands-on experience with composites part fabrication and assembly processes a plus.

Pilot, aircraft homebuilding and rapid prototyping experience a strong plus.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

Excellent computer skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Experience with the design of flight vehicles or vehicle systems to a set of requirements or standards such as CFR 14, Part 400, Part 23 and 25, military or NASA are highly desired

Experience with manufacturing-based ERP systems, such as Oracle, is a plus Applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by the ITAR (22 CFR 120.15)
