Litho Press Operator

10 hr SHIFT : Monday-Thursday 2 : 00pm-12 : 00am

The Litho Press Operator responsibilities include set-up (make-ready), operation, and operator maintenance of the Meyers sheet-feed lithographic printing presses. Litho Press Operators work with the Production Supervisor to meet Litho Printing work schedules by using the scheduling system, following ticket directions, make-readying press for job specific production, running the job on press, wash-up as necessary in preparation of the next press job. Press Operators must also be capable of providing daily press maintenance as needed to keep the press fully functional and aid Tech Services with on demand mechanical issues.

Some of the duties include :

• Production

Make-ready, operate, wash-up and maintain the Meyers KBA, Heidelberg and other Lithographic printing presses.

Matches work to proof. Maintain color control and registration.

Uses available tools to and systems to correct job and tools are prepared and ready for production, but not limited to stock, plates, press, ink and other process materials and supplies as needed.
