Assistant Watch Engineer - Relief, Duluth, MN

Ever-Green Energy is looking for a dedicated team member to perform maintenance and repairs to ensure reliable uninterrupted distribution of thermal energy to customers' buildings. This is an International Union of Operating Engineers IUOE Local 70 represented position.

Minimum Requirements :

• A current State of Minnesota First Engineer – Class 1A Boiler Operator License.
• A broad knowledge of mechanical repair and maintenance with three years' experience operating, maintaining, or servicing high-pressure thermal energy production facilities and distribution systems.
• Mechanical aptitude and a working knowledge of machinery, piping system, and control system fundamentals and operation.
• Ability to learn, understand, and carry out instructions.
• Ability to multitask and effectively respond to emergency tasks.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
• Ability to perform strenuous labor in an industrial environment, which may require climbing ladders, confined space entry, removing ash and slag from boilers, handling fuel, etc.
• Ability to communicate with and work cooperatively with peers and supervisors.
• The ability and willingness to reliably work a rotating shift schedule.
