Description
MaineHealth Maine Medical Center, is recruiting for a Physician Assistant (PA) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP)to join our inpatient surgical team.
- Thisposition provides high-level clinical support to the Anesthesiologists by delivering oversight and daily management for placement of regional blocks for post-operative pain management;
- Assists Anesthesiologists by conducting interviews to obtain and perform medical histories and physical examinations on patients scheduled to receive anesthesia for a medical surgical or diagnostic procedure;
Assists Anesthesiologists in facilitating regional block anesthesia care.
Desired Qualifications & Experience
- 3-5 years of inpatient surgical care.
- Master's Degree required; successful completion of accredited Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current license issued by the State of Maine or eligible for licensure.
- Current ACLS and BLS certification.
