Job Title : Director of Nursing (Home Health Agency)

  • Position Overview :
  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to join our leadership team. The Director of Nursing will oversee all clinical operations within the agency, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care while maintaining compliance with Federal and District of Columbia s regulatory standards.

This individual will play a pivotal role in guiding and supporting our team of nurses and caregivers to deliver exceptional services to our patients.

  • Responsibilities :
  • Provide leadership and direction to the clinical staff, including registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and home health aides.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the provision of safe and effective patient care.
  • Monitor clinical outcomes and quality metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies for enhancement.
  • Collaborate with other members of the leadership team to develop and execute strategic initiatives to drive growth and success.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing home health agencies, including Medicare and Medicaid guidelines.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback, coaching, and support to clinical staff members.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and excellence in patient care throughout the organization.
  • Serve as a liaison between the clinical staff, administrative team, patients, and their families to address any concerns or issues promptly and effectively.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in home healthcare and integrate them into the agency's operations as appropriate.
  • Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of insert state .
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical nursing leadership role, preferably in home health or a related setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of effectively managing and motivating a team.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Commitment to upholding the highest standards of patient care and clinical excellence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
