PT or PTA) Physical Therapist Pediatric Role Full Time / Part Time With Benefits- Waterford Twp, MI
Key Responsibilities :
For PT :
- Conduct thorough evaluations to assess students' physical needs and abilities
- Develop customized therapy plans aimed at improving mobility, strength, and overall physical function
- Provide hands-on physical therapy to students, focusing on individualized goals
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to student care
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expert advice on student progress and necessary adjustments
For PTA :
- Implement therapy sessions as directed by the PT, focusing on the specific goals outlined in the treatment plan
- Work with students individually or in small groups to enhance their physical skills
- Track and report on student progress, providing feedback to the PT
- Assist in preparing materials and setting up activities to support therapy sessions
- Collaborate closely with the PT, teachers, and families to create a supportive environment for student growth
Qualifications :
- For PT : Licensed Physical Therapist
- For PTA : Certified Physical Therapist Assistant
- Experience in an educational setting is preferred for both roles
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Dedicated to helping students improve their physical capabilities and overall well-being
