Position Overview :
As Technical Account Manager at Fulton May Solutions (FMS), LLC, you will be responsible for supporting FMS clients by maintaining a “white glove” client relationship that delivers value in a variety of ways with the through-line of customer success resulting in high percentage of managed service customer retention and IT project sales.
Areas of accountability included but not limited to overall client health and ensuring annual customer retention; building strong relationships with decision makers and influencers to ensure a deep understanding of their needs; driving the client technology road map for needed projects; delivering timely proposals; and closing projects via outstanding client stewardship.
Effective communication and team collaboration with the internal engineering team’s subject matter experts as well as the service desk team to deliver a high level of success for the entire organization.
The ideal Technical Account Manager has a background in managed service provider (MSP) services and adjacent projects; strong ability to build client relationships; comfortable and successful in selling IT projects. A result-oriented professional with a proven history of business development, sales, client account management, and excels working in a remote setting as well as office and onsite client environments.
Responsibilities :
Develop a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed your annual sales goal.
Identify current clients’ needs via strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats evaluations to identify opportunity for projects as well as possible risks to the renewal of their annual managed service agreement.
Develop relationships with the client’s decision makers based on trust to deliver value to their value to their organization.
Daily activities will include but are not limited to phone calls, emails, video calls, in-person and meetings / presentations.
Ability to log daily activities within company’s relationship management tools.
Collaborate with team members across the organization including engineering, operations, business development, marketing, finance, and leadership to enhance client experience within FMS.
Continuously refine and improve strategies based on feedback, learnings, and results.
Qualifications :
Track record of MSP experience delivering high end customer results and ability to demonstrate a deep understanding their needs.
Persuasive communication skills, verbal and written.
Strong relationship development with clients and internal FMS team.
Ability to work effectively in a remote or office environment.
Familiarity and experience using MSP client relationship management tools.
High level of competence using the Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Visio)
Past performance of building relationships and developing thought leadership position through social media tools (i.e. LinkedIn, Twitter)
Strong presentation skills leading onsite and remote client meetings including weekly check-ins, Quarterly Business Reviews, and annual road mapping discussions.
Prior work experience in the technology space with a preference towards MSP experience.
Entrepreneurial spirit with an understanding that we win as a team, and we learn as a team.
Requirements :
BA / BS from an accredited college or university
Five years’ experience in client services / support and sales / business development
Ability to provide a track record of client success via relationship management and IT project sales delivery.
Job Type : Full Time hybrid at FMS Location in the Chicago area.
