JOB SUMMARY
Based in Sacramento, CA, the Director of Coaching and Outreach will lead the planning and execution of all Foothill Golf Course junior programs and Greater Sacramento outreach efforts.
The Director of Coaching and Outreach will :
- Plan and deliver beginner / intermediate / advanced instruction to all junior golfers at Foothill Golf Course
- Coordinate academic coaching and mentor programs at Foothill Golf Course
- Facilitate all outreach programs at local schools, community centers, churches, etc.
- Design and implement our College Bound support program for juniors pursuing college
golf opportunities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Youth Golf Programs
- Lead delivery of all on-course youth programs at Foothill GC. Top priority will be
promoting diversity, retention and advancement at this location and maximizing
the number of program participants.
Ensure top quality program delivery, leading instruction of all clinics, camps and
classes, as well as on-course playing opportunities.
Work cohesively with the Sr. Director of Operations to schedule programs and
post online when registration is open.
- Manage all participant database records.
- Manage the College Bound support program.
- Create educational materials to support participants and their families as they
play competitive junior golf and navigate the college recruiting process.
Host educational webinars for program participants and coach individual
families to success.
- Community Outreach
- Plan and execute all community outreach efforts at targeted schools, churches, parks and community centers.
- Recruit and organize community partners with a particular focus on the partners surrounding Foothill Golf Course to involve more youth from diverse backgrounds.
- Maximize community outreach efforts using the Mobile Golf Simulator.
- Plan Mobile Golf Simulator schedule and communicate with the team on
scheduling and movement of the unit.
- Ensure proper upkeep and maintenance of Mobile Golf Simulator.
- STEM Academic Support
- Plan and execute academic support programs involving tutoring, mentors,
STEM instruction, test prep, and more.
- Assist in creating and maintaining relationships with STEM program partners.
- Recruit and train STEM program volunteers and mentors.
- Culture of Safety
Uphold all child protection policies, background checks, and training as set forth
by the Cameron Champ Foundation.
- Communications and Social Media
- Communicate with parents / participants via website, email, social media and phone calls.
- Assist in capturing and creating digital content to be shared on foundation communication channels.
- Miscellaneous
- Assist with planning and running golf leagues, tournaments and events at
Foothill Golf Course.
Occasional staffing of golf course to check in golfers and answer phone
QUALIFICATIONS
- Unwavering commitment and passion for the mission and beliefs of the Cameron Champ Foundation.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal relations and organizational skills.
- Excellent tech skills and comfort working across various platforms including Google
Suite, Zoom, registration and event databases, etc.
Charismatic, personable, and motivational in working with youth, volunteers and
community partners.
Strong command of golf instruction and track record of teaching the game to juniors
and groups.
Understanding of the junior golf landscape and a passion for helping youth navigate its
complexities.
- Experience in identifying and working with program staff and volunteers .
- Exceptional time management skills and ability to multitask.
- Preferred : LPGA or PGA status
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Comfortable working a flexible schedule, including some weekends
