Job Responsibilities :
- Provide direct nursing care to inmates / patients in a correctional facility setting.
- Assess health status, develop nursing care plans, and implement nursing interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor inmates' health conditions and respond to medical emergencies.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Provide health education to inmates on various health topics.
Essential Qualifications :
- LPN / LVN Valid in the state of Colorado.
- American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Desired Experience :
- Prior experience in correctional nursing or a similar healthcare setting.
- Experience working with diverse populations and individuals with mental health challenges.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Experience in managing chronic medical conditions and providing preventive care.
