- Provide care in a 56-bed Emergency Department within a Level I trauma center.- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and multisystem organ dysfunction / failure.
- Obtain 12 lead EKGs and administer blood products.- Perform phlebotomy and start IVs effectively.- Administer continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, and procedural sedation.
- Deliver care for neurological cases such as CVA, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injuries.- Apply and manage orthopedic splints.
- Handle pediatric cases including abdominal pain, asthma, infections, and respiratory issues.- Address psychiatric cases like acute psychosis, drug overdose, and violent behavior.
- Manage respiratory cases including chest tube insertion and intubation.- Adhere to isolation precautions and conduct patient triage.
- Work every other weekend and be flexible with block scheduling requests.- Participate in non-billable orientation and virtual modules during the first day and annually.
- Open to first-time applicants and locals. Candidates will not float outside the scope of their role.*
