Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a CA-licensed RN for a daytime hospice admissions position serving geriatric patients in LA County with recent skilled hospice experience required.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospice setting providing admissions throughout LA County
  • Patient population is primarily geriatric
  • Day shift schedule with 8-hour shifts, typically 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 00 PM
  • Average two admissions per day, may visit up to six patients daily
  • 1 : 1 patient ratio with productivity based on 30 points standard
  • Use of HomeCare HomeBase for documentation is required
  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • Local candidates are welcome
  • No weekend or on-call requirements
  • Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate
  • Free parking is provided
  • Any color scrubs may be worn
  • Timely communication and accurate documentation are essential
  • Occasional maximum travel radius may extend to 50+ miles within LA County
  • Documentation tools are provided and must be returned after assignment

  • Active CA RN license required
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
  • At least 1 year of recent skilled hospice experience within the past 3 years
  • Experience working with geriatric cases
  • Proficiency in HomeCare HomeBase for charting is required
  • Must have reliable personal transportation
