KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : Strategic Financial Management : Oversee all financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures.

Action-Oriented Analysis : Analyze financial data to drive informed decision-making, identifying areas for improvement and implementing action plans to enhance financial performance.

Robust Reporting : Prepare comprehensive financial reports for both internal stakeholders and external partners, showcasing the financial health and progress of the institution.

Forecasting and Budgeting : Develop forecasts and budgets, meticulously identifying risks and opportunities to optimize financial outcomes.

Operational Excellence : Implement effective cash handling procedures, conduct reconciliations, and maintain inventory and cost control measures.

Leadership and Collaboration : Participate in management meetings, leveraging your financial expertise to support strategic initiatives and build positive relationships with key stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement : Proactively resolve accounting and reconciliation issues, while driving process enhancements and orchestrating special projects to drive operational efficiency.

PREFERRED QUALIFICIATIONS : Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred, or equivalent professional experienceA minimum of five years' experience with revenue control, financial reporting and cash handling responsibilitiesAccounting experience in foodservice or retail industry required, foodservice operations experience a plusAbility to prepare monthly financial statements, key metric reports, budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections and analysesAdept at planning, organizing and controlling complex processes as well as analyzing moderately complex financial informationExperience with POS, cash and credit card reportsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSkilled at managing multiple priorities and relationshipsComputer skills : proficient in Microsoft Office with a concentration in ExcelStrong analytical and organizational skillsAbility to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic work environmentConformity to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behaviorIf you're a strategic thinker with a passion for financial excellence and a desire to make a meaningful impact in higher education, we invite you to join us on this exciting journey at the University of Utah.
