Franklin General Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled Circulating RN to join our surgical team. This role is essential in maintaining a safe, sterile, and efficient operating room environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality perioperative care.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare the operating room with necessary supplies, instruments, and equipment.
- Ensure all surgical instruments are sterilized and functioning.
- Serve as the patient's advocate before, during, and after surgery.
- Verify patient identity and surgical site before procedures.
- Assist with patient positioning and preparation of the surgical site
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
- Monitor the surgical team to maintain a sterile field.
- Handle and label surgical specimens accurately.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and families.
- Maintain inventory and reorder surgical supplies as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.

Schedule :
FT 36-40 hours - will vary based on surgical schedule and staffing needs.
No nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts!
