Job Summary
The office registered nurse is responsible for providing patient care in an office setting, following acceptable standards of the profession.
They use the nursing process to assess patient needs, communicate with providers, and prioritize care. This role requires initiative, flexibility, and the ability to provide direct and indirect care.
Core Job Responsibilities
- Perform assessment data collection using EMR tools / forms
- Provide age-appropriate care to patients in the community setting
- Document procedures and medications in the EMR
- Deliver medication and observe for effects
- Maintain knowledge of medications and their administration
- Assist providers with procedures and technical skills
Education / Experience Requirements
Required :
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or nursing program
Licensure / Certification Requirements
Required :
- Current New York State Professional Nursing Registration
- BLS Certification
