Full Time Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA)

Split Hours Between Germantown and Gaithersburg Maryland

NovaCare's outpatient orthopedic centers in Germantown and Gaithersburg Maryland are seeking a FULL time licensed physical therapist assistant to provide exceptional patient care to patients of all ages and abilities.

We treat a diverse population of teens through geriatrics offering general ortho, neuro and oncology rehabilitative services.

We have additional clinicians and front desk support available at both locations. This would be a full time 40 hour work week with two nights treating until 7pm.

Last patient is scheduled an hour prior. We have twelve patients per day expectations.

This would be a full time split of 20 hours at each location for a total 40 hour work week, no weekends. New graduates of accredited physical therapist assistant programs are WELCOME to apply.

Schedule : 40 hour work week (Mon-Fri) treating twice a week until 7pm between our Germantown and Gaithersburg teams

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
• Possesses training and education which allows him / her to assist the Physical Therapist in carrying out prescribed treatment program.
• Implements, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures.
• Maintains positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhances and expands client relations with facilities and their staff.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an approved curriculum for Physical Therapist Assistants, and having passed a national examination for Physical Therapist Assistants certified by the CAPTE.
• State license and / or certification must be valid in the state in which the individual will practice.
• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
