RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Manage all phases of plaintiff personal injury litigation, from case inception to resolution.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information for NY and NJ cases.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court team members.
- Manage case files and maintain organized documentation. Schedule depositions, hearings, and other legal proceedings Assist in trial preparation, including witness coordination and exhibit preparation.
- Negotiate settlements with insurance companies on behalf of clients.
- Manage two paralegals.
- Take depositions and original motion hearings.
- Prepare arbitration statements and trial information statements.
- Travel to Court, client meetings and conduct zoom meetings when applicable.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
KEY REQUIREMENTS :
- Ability to listen clearly, manage multiple caseloads and a team.
- Proficiency in negotiating settlements with insurance carriers and resolving property damage claims.
- Ability to trial cases and interact with clients.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent ability to manage multiple tasks and work well under tight deadlines and pressure.
- Must be willing to work in a challenging environment.
- Must have a Juris Doctorate or equivalent.
- Must be Licensed in New Jersey.
- Possess a strong academic record of 3.0 and above (preferred).
- 5+ years of proven experience as a Plaintiff Personal Injury Attorney.
- Exhibit strong written and oral communication skills.
- Bilingual in (English / Spanish) is a plus. WE OFFER :
