Pod B (on the second floor) contains 16 beds. Number of Beds - 28 Number of Staff 42 Type of staff : Day Shift 1 charge, number of nurses depends on census / acuity, critical care tech staffed 6 days a week, 0 Night Shift - 1 charge, number of nurses depends on census / acuity, critical care tech staffed 6 days a week, 0 Patient Ratios Typically 1 : 2, can be 1 : 1 or 1 : 3 depending on acuity - Estimated ratios, not guaranteed Type of equipment Pyxis, Plum Pump IVs, GE bedside monitors, Nelcor, Artic Sun, Sub Zero EMR - Meditech Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for : ( Travel RNs , local CNAs and sitters) Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
Experience in the ICU setting (medical / surgical / neuro / trauma any of these will qualify) BLS / ACLS Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.
TNCC 2 years ICU experience List typical procedures performed on unit(s) : Patient population · Neuro surgical, Trauma (level III, going to level II this year), cardiac arrest, resp arrest, ETOH / Drug WD, all vented patients come to the ICU at our facility.
Best personality Fit : Flexibility, willingness to jump in and help team Positive, patient centered they are why we do what we do always.
Unit Guidelines / Policies : Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines. I would be happy to discuss with the candidate if there are certain policies they are interested in knowing about.

We just opened our new 12 bed ICU expansion to allow us to care for 28 ICU patients. Will undergo level II trauma survey this year.
Our Intensivists are 24 / 7 and are the best doctors I have worked with in my 18 year of nursing. They are patient, willing to teach and respectful of our staff.
The ICU staff are welcoming and appreciative of our travelers. NSMC average census ranges from 100-125.
