Nurse RN Clinical Educator - Float Pool

Responsibilities

RN, Educators are responsible for the following :

Serves as a role model / mentor for students and other staff.

Performs patient procedures within the nursing scope of practice.

Participates in reviewing and / or implementing clinical pathways and care coordination.

As an RN, Educator you will apply nursing theory, education, and research in order to coordinate nursing education programs.

You will also collaborate with Education Specialists to plan, coordinate, and evaluate programs that are directed toward achieving and maintaining competencies of nursing personnel.

Qualifications include :

Licensure to practice as a RN in Pennsylvania

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required

5 years of nursing experience, preferably at TJUH

Conditions of Employment

Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check.

The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.

Conditions of Employment

Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson’s clinical entities or at the University.

If you are not currently vaccinated you will be required to receive the vaccination prior to hire date if you are offered employment, unless you request and receive an approved medical or religious exemption from Jefferson.
