About the Role :
The Tech Events team within Corporate Communications is looking for an energetic, creative and results-driven professional with experience in driving integrated, multi-dimensional, external-facing engagements at leading tech conferences.
This role will support the sponsorship strategy for AI, Data, and Cloud events to build Capital One’s reputation as a leading technology company.
This position requires strong project management skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated experience and expertise in managing cross-functional teams and a solid understanding of the latest trends in event production, sponsorships, and reputation building.
Job Responsibilities :
Exhibit deep understanding of the target audiences
Work closely and engage with Accountable Executives across Tech and Enterprise teams to build trusted relationships
Identify themes, topics and content that will resonate with target audiences and meet strategic business objectives, with specific focus on AI, Data, and Cloud imperatives
Leverage data and insights to inform narratives and influence innovative and well-managed programming
Drive the development and execution of event strategies
Contribute to the overall event strategy and roadmap and work closely with key leaders to develop strategic portfolios for AI, Data, and Cloud events
Develop program and project plans for events, creating workstreams and deliverables for key stakeholders and partners
Manage multiple workstreams during all event stages to ensure flawless execution
Draft and lead the development of effective communications materials to include strategic plans, project status updates, and other communications documents for various audiences
Embrace research, measurement and analytical thinking as a means to drive Impact
Ensure all work is executed through a lens of strategic impact and measurement, leveraging the latest tools and technology to showcase how our work is driving business outcomes and brand awareness
Explore new and different ways of storytelling through event activations and sponsorships
Support Capital One enterprise communications
Connect the dots across Tech Events and the broader Corporate Communications team to drive efficiencies and create value for our business partners
Collaborate with enterprise communications team to ensure a consistent focus and narrative
The successful candidate will demonstrate :
Proven ability to work effectively with multiple constituents, including peers and executives, bringing simplicity to complex subject matters
Creative, integrative problem-solving and structured thinking
Proven track record leading cross-functional projects in a matrixed environment
Experience and passion for driving associate learning and engagement efforts within an organization
Self-motivated with strong organizational skills, analytical talent and attention to detail
Excellent presentation and influence skills
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree or military experience
At least 5 years of project management experience
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience planning / managing meaningful event sponsorships that drive attendee engagement with a focus on content development, production logistics, and impact assessment
Deep understanding and expertise in event management with a focus on achieving measurable results based on business intent / objectives
Experience working, partnering with and influencing multiple constituents and stakeholders (internal and external), including senior executives

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
New York City (Hybrid On-Site) : $147,800 - $168,700 for Manager, Project Management
