What do you need?

If you have it, don t hesitate to apply now as a Home Care Aide (HCA ) :

• Pass a background check.
• High school degree and / or a G.E.D. certificate
• Six months experience as a Home Health Aide (HHA) and / or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) in health care (in homes or facilities) and successful completion of a State approved Nurse Aide or Home Care Aide (HCA) and / or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) course
• The Home Care Aide shall have completed a Competency Evaluation that meets the State licensing law for home health agencies
• Food Worker card.
• Current CPR Certificate is recommended
• Read, write, speak, and understand English
• Have a valid driver’s license and use an insured automobile for work or access to adequate transportation

What will you do as a caregiver? How is the day-to-day of a Home Care Aide (HCA)?

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide personal care activities that ASSIST our clients with activities of daily living.

These could include, but are not limited to :

• Personal hygiene
• Reinforcement of dressings (non-sterile) / shaving
• Assisting with the use of devices for aid in daily living (cane, walker, wheelchair, or lift device)
• Measuring and preparing special diets
• Measuring intake and output
• Taking vital signs (temperature, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure)
• Perform light housekeeping activities.
• Assisting with the application of an arm sling, arm splint, or leg splint
